ReShade (4.5.3) not installing for X4:Foundations

I am attempting to install ReShade (originally 4.5.2 and now 4.5.3) for X4:Foundations, which uses Vulkan. I have made sure either to start ReShade in admin mode or to switch to it after the installer has loaded (so that I get the checkbox at the bottom of the window).

When I install ReShade, the program installs the shader folder and the reshade.ini file but it does not install any other files. Someone on another forum suggested checking one of my hidden local data folders (I don't recall which one) and I found nothing there, either. ReShade does not load up when I start X4.

Any ideas?

Keep the setup tool running or check the checkbox in it.

Yes, I have done that - it doesn't have any effect either way (tool running, or checkbox on and then tool closed).

I download resade 5.0.2 in instalation i choose vulkan, there were no checkboxes or enabling the volcano globally, I launch the game and there are no signs of an installed reshade! Installed on both direct x and open gl, nothing works! The game folder has ReShade.ini and reshade-shaders and that's it((
