Addon not appearing in list

I have my addon manually installed in the correct folder (along with the .exe file)  and it's a .addon64 file type but it doesn't show up in the Addon list in Reshade. I've tried pointing it manually to the storage folder but nothing works. I just get the basic GENERIC DEPTH and EFFECTS RUNTIME. If I change the file extension to just .addon it says there has been an error loading an addon so it is aware of it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like game is 32-bit and you are installing a 64-bit add-on. Need to use the 32-bit variant then.

Thanks for your speedy reply. When I use the 32-bit add-on the game crashes. Again that tells me that it is reading the addons but not displaying them.

That means the add-on is broken.
