Hi

I'm wondering if anyone could offer some guidance for a Steam specific issue regarding running Reshade in VR.

For VR games I never encountered a problem, neither did I for flat games.

But there is an inbetween situation where a flat game sometimes has a VR mod. The game I am trying to run with Reshade is Project Cars 2, but other games in the same situation likely have the same issue.

The situation is this: in order for Reshade to activate at game start, the files need to be placed alongside the game .exe files. However for a bunch of games, playing in VR is activated via steam through a launch option: you go in the Steam library, click Run the game, a pop up gives you 2 options; play normally, or play in VR.

For Project Cars 2 for example Reshade works just fine playing the game flat, because the .exe in the game folder launches the flat game normally. But there is no alternative .exe for VR, only the Steam launch option.

So obviously my question is how do I make Reshade work in such a situation? Is there a way to bypass the lack of .exe file and workaround something with Steam VR? Has anyone ever came across something like this for launch optionned VR titles?

(Project Cars 2, Steam VR, PSVR2)
