Cyberpunk 2077 game keeps crashing with ReShade was created by Skylab New York
Has anyone's Cyberpunk 2077 crashed when using ReShade?
The new Cyberpunk 1.6 patch came out today and when I'm in-game, have ReShade on, and hit ESC to go to the game's main menu the game crashes.
It does this repeatedly.
I've tested this with different Reshades I have and it keeps happening. This has never happened before. Also, I am using the latest build of ReShade.
Has anyone run into this issue as well?
Thanks for reading!

I'm having the same problem with the new patch, any version, any preset makes the game crash.

Closing DLSS then installing reshade solved it for me.

Did you turn off DLSS. Turn off the game. Install a fresh copy of ReShade, then turn the game back on, turn back on DLSS and everything worked fine again?
What were your steps?
Thanks!

So, I just tried a fresh install of Reshade, I had no FSR enabled (I'm on a Radeon 6700 XT) and it still crashed when I went back into the main menu.
If I run the game with Reshade it runs fine, but the moment you hit the ESC key to do anything in your settings, like save etc, the game crashes. You can't run this game without DLSS or FSR so I guess we'll wait till there's a new Reshade update.
This issue is across the board with mods not working, so something in patch 1.6 has changed drastically, especially for it to be affecting ResShade as ReShade has been solid since day 1 with this game.

SOLVED! (crash when openning map)
I just thought what the hell i put on all the mods and i do my new playtrhough serie without a map and i get to know the city better, life gives you lemons...
So i did, reconfig all mods, reshade, etc... AND i saw before on the ReShade website that Cyberpunk had rather complicated depth buffer
SO I went to "Add-ons" > check "Copy depth buffer before clear operations" (i had the heuristics too) and Voilá!!
TRY THIS ASAP AND LET KNOW

Ok, just got the new ReShade 5.4.1 and it fixes the Cyberpunk crash issue.
Thanks to Crosire for fixing it.

The new Reshade build works perfect for me, no more crashes on menu screen or the map screen etc. But know that I am currently running 0 mods right now. I have to reinstall whatever mods I want. I would move your mods folder out of cyberpunk, then try running the game with just the newest version of ReShade.
Also know, If you are running a Radeon video card, (im running a 6700 XT) know that the newest FSR 2.0 on nexus works with patch 1.6 and ReShade.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
