Will Reshade lag when installed but not toggled

So I know some ReShade presets that aren't for actual gaming, but for screenshots (And screenshots are why i want to get reshade). So basically the preset has toggle keys to turn it on/off. Basically I just want to know that if Reshade will lag if I simply have it installed. I know it'll lag when it's toggled, but what if it isn't toggled? will it take any effect?

It has a small impact (since all game calls now take a longer route through ReShade), but it should not be noticeable.
